McAllen: 29th Annual Candlelight Posada
The McAllen Chamber of Commerce and the City of McAllen Parks & Recreation Department invite you to join them for the 29th Annual Candlelight Posada. This free, family-friendly event will be held at Archer Park Friday and Saturday, December2nd & 3rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. All events are free to the public! Edinburg: 12th Annual Night of Lights
Edinburg’s 12th annual Night of Lights celebration will begin at 3:45 p.m. at the City Hall Courtyard, 415 W. University Drive, with entertainment, food vendors and children’s activities. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. as it makes it way from the University of Texas-Pan American toward the Hidalgo County courthouse. For more information please call 956-383-4974.

McAllen: New Years Eve Bash 2011
Ring in 2011 in downtown McAllen with as many as 40,000 people. Enjoy live music, food vendors, a carnival for kids, performances throughout the entertainment district and the great venues on 17th Street. Parking is free and a shuttle service will be provided to the entertainment district. McAllen’s 2011 New Year’s Eve Bash and Ball Drop, likened to the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in New York, will be held on Saturday, December 31st, from 7 pm to 1 am.
